My Story
With a distinguished career in law spanning over two decades, Tracey McCormick brings a wealth of expertise and a steadfast commitment to client advocacy to her role in real estate. As a seasoned attorney, Tracey's legal journey has honed her skills in negotiation, contract analysis, and dispute resolution, all of which serve as invaluable assets in her transition to real estate.
Tracey's legal career began with a focus on upholding professional standards and safeguarding client interests at the Client Security Fund of The State Bar of California, where she served as Senior Counsel from 2017 to 2021. Her responsibilities included meticulously investigating claims, rendering decisions, and ensuring justice in legal matters.
Prior to her tenure at the Client Security Fund, Tracey spent over a decade as Assistant General Counsel at The State Bar of California's Office of General Counsel, where she supervised outside counsel and provided counsel to the organization's executive team, board of trustees, and various committees. Her extensive experience encompassed diverse legal areas, including real estate transactions such as the sale of commercial properties and retail leasing agreements.
Tracey's deep understanding of legal intricacies extends to her tenure as Deputy Trial Counsel at The State Bar of California's Office of the Chief Trial Counsel, where she prosecuted attorneys charged with professional misconduct. This experience instilled in her a keen eye for detail and a rigorous approach to ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Outside her work with The State Bar of California, Tracey served as Lead Trial Attorney at Kimball, Tirey & St. John, where she specialized in landlord-tenant property management and real estate disputes. Her proficiency in navigating complex legal landscapes and advocating for her clients' interests was further evident during her time as Partner/Litigation Attorney at the Law Offices of James Miles, where she managed a substantial caseload encompassing personal injury matters.
Tracey's legal acumen is complemented by her educational background, which includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University School of Kansas. Throughout her career, Tracey has remained an active member of the State Bar of California, consistently upholding the highest standards of legal integrity.
